The competition is open to all wine producers in the Aquitaine region,  as well as private and cooperative wine cellars and wine dealers.

Candidates can enter any white, red, rosé or crémant wines from the last three vintages, either in bulk or as a bottled finished product

Since 2007, the competition is open to wines with the appellation “Vins de Pays de l’Atlantique”.
